In my opinion the most affordable Big Cube BBC is the 496" which allows the use of a stock block. Piston companies are also starting to stock pistons for this combination. We have no idea where this project will end up - much will depend on where we can find a deal on parts. Here's the current state of the engine:
- OEM 2 Bolt 454" Block - '70s vintage
- The block has been bored and decked

- Make if affordable
- Build it to run on pump gas
- At least 575hp
