The "Big Red" Project

Had a free ride to Phoenix in early '03 with no way back but to buy a vehicle. All by design - I wanted to replace my '92 Suburban that just wasn't up to the task of towing a race car. I looked at a half a dozen Subs before I found this one. Here's the current state of the vehicle:

• Make, Model & Year of Car: 1997 Chevy 3/4 Ton 4X4 Suburban
• History: Purchased in Arizona and drove all the way back to Michigan. They love their big trucks out west.
• Engine: Stock 454".
• Wheels & Tires: Take-offs from newer 3/4 ton Suburban.
• Mileage: 9 city, 11 highway
• Best ET: No idea,,,,,, yet :-)

Here's the plan:

• Increase power
• Increase mileage - if we can
• Improve the drivetrain, chassis & suspension
• Get it ready to pull a trailer
